My Story

Brandi was a rescue Italian Greyhound that was living in a barn in Ohio before me and my folks took her in....she even had frostbite damage to her ears from her neglectful owners!   She was abandoned due to the female owner wanting a golden retriever instead of her.  In May of 1999 we welcomed her into our home, and she really seemed to enjoy her new home, after being 'raised in a barn' literally!  Brandi was a fun, energetic little girl, even though we had to give her daily meds for seizures she would have every now and then...she was very tough her whole life, and lived to be 16 1/2 years old, which is much higher than the average life expectancy for her breed.  She and I were always very close as we bonded right away after we took her in...She loved to swim, go for walks, play tug of war with me and dad and mom, meet new people and she was very good with other animals too!  She slept with me almost every night until I had to move away in 2005 and I miss those nights so much now...I cant put into words what a blessing she was to be a part of our lives and such heart medicine for my father and mother.  She was the greatest little soul on this Earth, and I look forward to seeing her when my hour arrives, and we can always spend time together from then on.  Until that day my little baby girl, mom, dad and I will miss you very much, and I know Grandma, Grandpa and Olympia will enjoy their new friend and companion...I will always love you very much Brandi....Richie aka B.B.
