My Story

He walked into my life uninvited - like he knew it was his place. For the past 5 and a half years, he followed me everywhere, always welcomed me home, and slept at my side every night. He was my friend, my protector and my confidant. His love was unconditional, he soothed me when I was sick, tolerated my impatience, and accepted the changes in our lives with grace. He was a fearless protector; and guarded me from anything or anyone he felt could be a threat. When I spoke to him, he listened as if he understood every word. His love for the "3 C'S" - cream, chicken or cheese was unapologetic and legendary. The mere mention of any of those brought him running! He was large...but not a fatty. But as he tried to negotiate narrow places with his big body, the results would sometimes be disastrous. After the Clown Prince took one of his epic tumbles, he would immediately gather himself up with all the dignity he could muster and begin to groom himself - as if to say, "nothing to see here - I meant to do that". He was larger than life, and the most unusual and intelligent cat I have ever known. He is - and always will be - sorely missed.
