My Story

About  SAARPA

We recieved the word that our niece's yellow male and his calico lady had new arrivals. I went to see those sweet little bundles of joy. There was a variety of kitties. One little one, and which happened to be a last born, and a runt, was struggling to get up and out of the cluster. I immedietly loved the little package of happiness and spunk. The markings on the kitty were so beautiful. I said to my niece, "This one, I want this one !" I named her SAARPA for her eyes were blue-gay then.

About six weeks later, my dear wife Shereen and I picked our little addition up and introduced her to her new home.  Saarpa immedietly investigated. She was curious as all were and are... and will be !
She sleep alone for the first night, however... the second night my wife and I went to bed, but not alone. After we were situated, we heard tiny scratches. The little tike was climbing into our bed. Uh-huh, she wants to sleep with us. I know when a kitty has chosen to sleep with you, it's for life.  And for the most part, she was there at bedtime. Sometimes she let us know it was bedtime ! What a special kitty she was !

She loved to play fetch. Her father was a fetch the ball, cellophane pack or anything else you would play with !  She sat on our laps and purred for days, so sweet she was ! Soon, her eyes began changing, to a beautiful green and soon other changes came. She became a young lady s early, though she never was to become a mother. She was our baby, and she always will be !  I decided to write this memorial for her to always remember her and let others know how inspirational their stories were in my time of need. My heart and utmost gratitude goes to all who have stood where I now stand... grieving for a beloved pet, a member of the family, and a wonderful friend !

"Dang, the darn cat is so finiky. She was picky about her soft food, her hard food, but she loves pork fried rice, spicey sechuan chicken, spaghetti noodles, and other weird quirks, at least I thought, for a feline !  But she really loved her spaghetti noodles !  Back and forth, that morris kitty food,  that fancy food, the hard food, that little bit of sauce that comes in those can, et cetera, etc., etc.  She never really settle for something too long. Yes, that darn cat was finicky ! And that darn cat was mean, too ! Sometimes she play her game to test us, and at times, as I said... she was just darn mean !

SAARPA ripped three couches to shredds, none which we new, whenever we went somewhere and left her alone. We'de return and there it was, the evidence. There would be stuffing and material strands all around. We took it in stride. I did get on to her harshly when she urinated on the floor. I knew she was upset and would try to see why. Sometimes it was just plain old meaness. Sometime we found SAARPA had a urinary tract infection. But the funny thing was we bought this hugh green sofa once, and SAARPA never offered to harm it in any way. We could never understand why she never destroyed that green sofa. We are still in awe of that experience.

Many experiences we shared with SAARPA in our lives left us in awe, and still do !
