My Story

   Spike was born from my beautiful shih tzu Sophie-  I already had 3 dogs, but I knew I would keep Spike      He was the most loving, sensitive, funny dog I had ever known, we were inseperable.
  Spike came to school with my daughter and I every day-and then we would walk to town-
              He loved people, especially the elderly and disabled-  
                Spike also loved to walk,  to the large park near where we lived- and along the quiet footpath, beside the river-with his doggie friends-
               He loved the beach, picking up crabs- jumping the breakwaters- equally, he was at home in the fields-where he would hide- and try and chase the pheasants
                When I became very ill, he never left me- and he gave me the incentive to go out, because he was always waiting for me to take him `walkies`-
               He would bring us gifts in the morning to wake us up-   When he was diagnosed with heart disease,  I wouldn`t believe it, he was only 7- 
               My husband died in 2002, Spike had survived a health crisis- and was with me, to lick away the tears and put a comforting paw on my hand-
                I was devastated when he died, 3months after my husband- my `eternal` puppy is an angel now- and I miss him still, every minute of every day- I love him so much
