My Story

   Sissi was my sweet wonderful little ball of white fluff. She was like a child to me. When she was 3, I decided I would let her become a mommy. I bred her and she went thru the pregnancy well. When she went into labor, she could not contract properly, so I called her vet. He told me she would need a c-section. Well, we had a hard time getting her to go to sleep. I sang to her, massaged her, but she kept looking at me with her beautiful eyes. Finally, she went to sleep. During the surgery she woke up screaming. I asked the vet to let me comfort her, but he said no. He medicated her again and got the one little puppy out. He waited a little while and let me take her home. He told me in a couple of hours to start nudging her to wake her up and have the pup at her breast. Well, I laid on her bed for the next 2 hours with her; so anxious for her to wake up and see she was a mommy. But after 3 hours I couldn't wake her up. She jerked a few times, but that was it. I called Vic and he got to my house in no time.  He checked her and told me he thought she had died. I naturally thought she was in a deep sleep. Vic tried mouth to mouth recussitation; CPR, but nothing worked. I was in a daze. I held her in my arms for hours. I made Victor take me to her vet. I beat on his door and screamed for him to come wake her up. I still insisted she was in a deep sleep. But finally Victor convinced me that I had lost her. I know that some people think that loving an animal that much is ridiculous, but Sissi wasn't just a dog. She was my little girl. She loved me as much as I loved her.I'll never forget her..
