My Story

In his short little life, he perfected the art of play, won the hearts of anyone that came in contact with him and will be loved for a lifetime.  Squirrel went down hill all of a sudden.  He dropped weight and despite my efforts to force feed him, it wasn't enough.  I had 2 vet opinions on his prognosis.  Both weren't good.  He wouldn't make it either way and he was suffering.  The diagnosis was uncertain because the bloodwork was inconclusive.  One vet said he thought it was FIP and the other thought that he had cancer in his kidneys.  On Sept. 19th 2009 my boy was put to sleep with me at his side.  He is severely missed.  There is a hole in my heart.  He was a genuinely sweet kitty.  He was poked and prodded, but, took it in stride (purring the entire time).  

In early May, Beeker and I visited a pet store that had pet adoptions going on.  Squirrel picked us.  All the other kittens either ignored us or hissed and growled at my puppy.  Except one, there was this cute little brown tabby with white kitten that wasn't sure whether he wanted to play with Beeker or be afraid of him.  From that day forward their friendship blossomed and they were inseparable. 

His brother Beeker will take it extremely hard.  They would play for hours, just rough housing.  It was the cutest thing.  No matter what my day was like, watching the 2 of them put a smile on my face.  I remember how obnoxiously loud he'd purr next to my head when we'd go to bed.  He loved the sound of the shower running and would try to get in.  He was the most unique cat I've ever had.  He loved his oral antibiotics.  When he was healthier, he'd jump onto the dresser, sit and tilt his head back if he saw the antibiotic container.  He never fought me.  He was always HAPPY.  His happiness was contagious.  If you looked at him, you fell in love instantly. I miss my handsome boy wish him peace.  The only solace I have is that he's in heaven playing with Justin.
