My Story

There was no sweeter dog in the universe. Everyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting her fell in love with her. She did not have a "big" personality but she oozed sweetness and kindness out of her pores.

In fact, there is one dogless Colorado family that dog sat her for a week for me 10 years ago and they still have her picture on their office desk. THAT is how she impacted everyone that met her.

From the day I rescued her from the Bonita Humane Society when she was 3 months old, she NEVER caused me one day of a problem. Even as a young puppy she never chewed on anything she was not suppose to chew on and practically housebroke herself.

A couple of weeks after I got her, I got very ill with bronchitis and was in bed for almost a month and, even though she was only 3 months old, all she wanted to do was lay next to me the entire time.
She got me through a couple of life changing times in my life. When my ex left and when my father died, she was my comfort and my solace.
All Taffy cared about was making me happy. That was her only agenda in life. Her mere presence in a room was very comforting.

She was always a great mother to any foster dogs or puppies I had in the house. She would follow them around to make sure they were ok.

She loved to go to the Marine Street beach and loved to go running in the water and down the beach. She was carefree and happiest doing that.

I had 2 dogs prior to her and loved them both, but have NEVER had a connection with any animal like I did her.  Our connection was uncanny and immediate. When she was at the humane society she was in the crate with 3 other puppies however, when she looked at me I knew that SHE was suppose to be mine.  The very first hour that I had her at home I went to the dog park to introduce Taffy to some of my friends and their German Shepards and Weimerianers.  When I put her down to meet and play with the dogs the moment she would get scared she would run back to me and go between my legs.  I did not call her back to me but in the first hour of having her she knew she was mine and that I would always protect her.  THAT is how instaneous our connection was.

I was lucky to have a dog like her, and am thankful for it as I realize that many people never get as lucky as I was to have a family member like TAFFY.

There is no dog has ever  had a such large piece of my heart.  It will never be replaced.
TAFFY WILL ALWAYS AND FOREVER BE IN MY HEART!!!
