My Story

Abbi came to us via a rescue centre.   We state her birthday from the day we got her as they had no idea of her actual birthday.  We think she was 14 and a half today 28th February 2010 when she was gently put to sleep.
She only understood Spanish and only ate Chinese food.  She had a sensitive tummy all her life and we finally lost her today after suffering from Acute Pancreaitis and Liver problems.
She loved her DaddyMan so much and would do anything for him.  She loved nothing more than laying in his arms being stroked and the pair often fell asleep in the armchair in this way.
She loved the beach and we took her on lots of holidays and rambles, she would wag her tail the whole time.   She was very intelligent and understood a wide range of words and she would sing if you sang to her or made noises like a sheep.  She would never do this in front of anyone else except me (her Mum) and her DaddyMan, it seemed she knew how daft we sounded making the sheep noises and wanted to save us from embarassment in front of others.   She loved her "walkies" and would almost turn somersaults for her "dindins".   She would ask for her dinner if we were late - she seemed to know when it was 6 o'clock and would nudge us.  She also had special way of showing us how much she loved us.  She would press her nose on the back of our legs as we walked by or would run up behind us and do it.  She never ever licked faces and would turn her head away if you put your face too close to hers.   If you kissed her on the side of her head she would sit there and let you do that - she knew we loved her and let us do that all the time.
She loved ball games and would chase anything you threw for her.
We will miss her everyday, she has left a big whole in our day every day but her memory fills our heart to bursting point.  We have endless photos of her and the one I have chosen was taken in early 2009 before she started to get sick.   We both had the day off that day as we were snowed in and she had the time of her life playing in the snow with us and her dear friend Charlie who also passed away earlier this year under tragic circumstances.
Just gaze at her picture and you will feel the unconditional love she gave all her life and she asked us for nothing in return.  If you could list the the essentials and "nice to haves" of a dog she ticked everybox and surpassed every expectation.
Abbi Buxcey We love you and will never stop loving you for ever - Rest in peace and we think of you now playing with Lucy and Charlie having all the fun you used to.
Love Mummy and DaddyMan XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXxx
