My Story

Charlie, the best dog in the world  (to me anyway) sadly passed away on New Year's Day 2008, he will always have a special place in our hearts mine in particular as he was my life.  Sometimes I find it hard to let go, and I really want to be with him, but I know full that I am unable to do so at present as it is not God's plan for me yet, but I know that when the time comes we will be reunited to be with one another forever.  What makes it harder for me is the very fact that for the last two days of his life he wouldn't let me anywhere near him although I had looked after him since the day he was born, I was unable to go with him to the vets as that would have stressed him out even more so and I didn't want to do that.  I had bad dreams about that for weeks after and have slowly come to terms with the fact that it was just Charlie's way of letting me know that he was passing away and would no longer be with me.  At the moment I am unable to find a pet cemetery in my area so for now I have kept his ashes until I can find one close by where I can visit him on a daily basis.  I have a shrine to him in my room, and will never get another dog as no dog on earth will be able to fill the gap.
