My Story

this is his story,gizmo ''gizzy'' heigley was a very loving pup who was full of life,he was a christmas gift from my husband & children just this past year.he would follow me every where i went and i mean every where.this little guy was full of spunk and was always the center of attention,he would roll over on his back when you would go to pick him up or walk over to him.he would dance for you and he would beg and sit pretty for you and if he would hear a bag rattle he figured he was good and he got a treat,and let me tell you he got alot of them.he loved to rub his eyes and play peek-a-boo with you and loved his squeeky toys he was so smart he would pull out the squeeker and play with it until it no longer squeeked.he loved it when the kids would chase him and he would chase them right back,he was our little ''BIG''britches and would try anything,he would beg to go outside and terrize the other animals we have and he did it very well.gizzy was our baby and loved very much and he still is loved and always will be.he is missed so very much it hurts to know he's gone but never will he be forgotten in our hearts.april,29th 2009 started like any other day,we all got up and started our day.gizzy was playing with dutches as always running around the house tring to see who was bigger,and just to mention dutches is a german shorthair pointer,as the day got longer he wanted to go outside to play,and i told him he had to wait for the kids to get home from school like normal he went and laid down behind the chair and was playing with his toys.then he seen dad (my husband) getting ready to lay down on the floor so he wanted to play with him,so they played a bit and they all fell asleep.then it was time for the kids to get home and he knew it so he started going back -n-forth until my husband told him to watch them,he loved it when we said that he would bark and bark.so my youngest son got home and he chased him around the house a few times and came in the house,and me not thinking i let him go back outside like i always did,but this time i forgot about letting him out until the nice gentleman knocked on my door.when i got to the door i seen his truck parked on the road with his 4 ways on and then he ask me if i had a little white dog...i paused for a minute and said no you didn't hit him did you? and as soft as can be he said yes that's when i looked over his head and seen my puppy laying there on the side of the road.there was nothing he could of done he just kept saying he was so sorry and i told him that it wasn't his fault,he even offered to pick him up for me and take up to the house and i told him no thats ok i will do it,then he said he was so sorry again and he left.i carried him up to the house and held him for awhile and told him that i was so sorry for not protecting him like i always did before and that we all loved him very much and will miss him and that he will always be in our hearts.i am just thankful that the man had the kind heart to stop and tell me and didn't just keep on going like most people do i thank him for that because gizzy was not just a pet he way our little boy with so much life in him that could of went around the world.we barried him in my garden where he loved to go and knew he would get yelled at for it but he didn't care he just did what he wanted because he knew he wasn't going to get into trouble to bad...............................................rest in peace''GIZZY'' your our little angel now!!!!!!!!!
