My Story

Maggie came into our lives in Easter of 2003; named Margaret after my grandmother and Diana after the goddess of hunting.  She was only six weeks old when she joined our family, but before a year went by we were joined at the heartstrings.  Maggie lived an awesome life; in her youth, she would train with the "bird", run and jump into the pond after it.  She was loving and loyal; Maggie's tail would wag when anyone called her by name or entered the room and greeted her.  Even cats called her friend they often laid out in the sun with her and watched the day go by.  When her older sister Honey passed, Maggie helped us deal with our pain and filled us with so much love.  She helped us deal with the grief that came after, and never did Maggie waver in her love or her loyalty.  Several months after, Maggie developed sores that eventually covered her body.  She endured this unknown illness with the grace and humility only a dog could possess.  In the end, her eyes followed us adoringly right from where she was, as if to say, "I love you...always."  We will always miss Margaret Diana and her life of love, her wagging tail, and her comforting presence.
