My Story

My mommy and daddy stole me.  The people that loved my birth mother didn't want any of us puppies, so when we were weaned, they just left us to fend for ourselves.  They didn't feed us, but this nice lady came to visit neighbors, cuddled me, fed me hotdogs, and took me home.

They had planned to take me to the vet so he could make sure I was healthy and give me some shots that I didn't like very much.  Then they were going to find me a good home.  They did.

I was afraid of a leash, until I saw how my sister Ashie liked hers.  Then I couldn't wait to go for a walk.  I was over a year old before I ever lifted my leg to piddle.  Unfortunately it was on my sister's side.  She just turned around and looked at me like I was nuts.

Mommy and Daddy went to Mexico a lot and I really liked it.  I liked going anywhere, as long as they were with me.

My mommy was very sad when she realized how unhappy I was.  I was almost 18 years old and couldn't feel my back legs.  My two vets let her know that I wasn't hurting, but I was so sad.  She and my aunts and my cousin were all with me when I went to see my daddy.

I can run and play and chase that stupid black squirrel, and I can shake from the tip of my nose to the tip of my tail and that feels really good.
