My Story

Pride was born to our cat, Spooky, in April of 1996, a year and two moths after me! I grew up with him my whole life. He was always very skittish, and would run at any loud noises or sudden movements. He was also very lazy, but very affectionate. He loved laying on people's laps and getting in your face if he thought you weren't paying attention! He knew just how to manipulate a person, too - sometimes, when he wanted to come inside, he'd just sit on the porch, knowing you'd go out and carry him in if he took long enough. He was also a pig, he ate all the time! Around age 8,  he got up to about 18 pounds! Before he was fixed, he had lots of kittens around the neighborhood, most of whom look just like him! In his last few weeks, he was acting very strange. He got very lethargic and just wasn't himself. It turned out he had fluid in his lungs  and heart. He passed away with all of us and his friend, Simba, in our living room on the morning we were going to have him put down.
